Dynazty – Firesign Review

Release date: 28th September 2018

It’s always an awesome feeling when you discover a band after they put on a great live show, and that’s exactly how I came across the awesome Dynazty roughly two years ago, back when they played a few shows in the UK with PAIN. Their music also packs a punch on CD, and I’ve eagerly been awaiting new material after enjoying what they had to offer from their back catalogue. Firesign is the band’s sixth album and is definitely an impressive bit of work.

Dynazty is a band that goes from strength to strength with each of their albums and as such, Firesign manages to take things up a notch from previous release Titanic Mass. Firesign has a special spark and is a gripping listen from start to finish. An early highlight is second track The Grey, which features a very powerful introduction and a seriously catchy chorus that you’re going to want to sing along to – so it came as no surprise to me when I discovered this track was released as a single. It’s going to go down a storm live, make no mistake of that.

Indeed, Firesign is jam-packed with excellent inclusions and the band doesn’t let up for one moment as they progress from song to song. Dynazty have mastered the art of writing songs that will get stuck in your head for days. From the massive Ascension to the energetic Follow Me and mini-epic The Light Inside The Tunnel, the album has a good amount of variety to it whilst coming together well with each song flowing almost seamlessly to the next.

Firesign is a fiercely exciting listen, and the best Dynazty release to date. Don’t miss this one!
