Euringer – [Self-titled] Review

Released on: 19th October 2018

You might think of yourself as an Emo but you can be guaranteed that you are not Little Jimmy Urine [a.k.a. James Euringer] singing the most beautiful rendition of Wuthering Heights by Kate Bush you-have-ever-heard Emo. Euringer holds much more than relishing in the dulcet tones of Mindless Self Indulgences’ merciless ‘M.C.’ commander. As the MSI leading laddie has produced another bona fide industrial clusterfuck and created a synthometric nerdgasm; Euringer– is accessible discordance on Urine.

Fans who are familiar with Jimmys’ main Mindless Self Indulgence will be familiar with the format: war poetry. Politically charged, unashamed and defiantly un-PC Jimmys’ lyrics are designed to transcend scene narratives and are filled with his trademark virtuous humility. With Urines’ droll like a bastard composition between influencers H.P. Baxter (of Scooter. Not soup) and Eminem (of rap fame and not sweeties.)

There is more depth to Urines’ mirthful opinions than the former mentioned acts. And throughout its NPC grade accessibility Euringer makes a solid case for them purple pills by bringing a healthy dose of controlled noise to the operation table. Being a strong representation of good music that comes from the heart. As a side note the lead in to Wuthering Heights, Internal Organs, is capital ‘D-’oe-peh. Asserting James’ strength as an awesome bard and as a quality sound engineer.

Euringer is a fun and exploratory record, even without its irreverent politicizing, that features subliminal artistry and more importantly over the radar musicians such as Serj Tankian, Grimes, Gerard Way and Chantal Claret who give some flavour to the tasteful craziness apropos Little Jimmy Urine exudes like his namesake on the streets of London (See: Oliver Twist. The streets were lined with gold, not Gold.) Ultimately this album is as fresh as a wake up call. It’s strong, rich and freeing you up ready for more good times to come.
