Soundscape’s Advent 2025 Day 19: Feuerschwanz – Knightclub

This year, I thought I would do something a little different compared to a standard ‘end-of-year list’. There have been plenty of awesome albums, EPs and songs released this year – so for the 24 days of advent, I will be sharing some of my favourite cuts of 2025 along with a short review of each.

Feuerschwanz – Knightclub

To say Knightclub is great fun is somewhat of an understatement. I’ve had Feuerschwanz on my radar for a while but when they announced a German tour with Lord Of The Lost, I decided this was a perfect excuse to dive in and familiarise myself with them and I’m so glad I did! Yes, Feuerschwanz may not take themselves the most seriously, but the music doesn’t suffer for this at all – I can’t stand novelty bands that care more about appearances than the music they’re creating, but it’s clear with Feuerschwanz that they know how to craft an awesome song and have fun doing so!

The aforementioned title track is simply fantastic, and other highlights include Drunken Dragon and Sam The Brave, the latter of which kicked some serious ass in a live environment. As a whole, the entire album just doesn’t have a single dud on it, resulting in an absolute treat of a listen.

If you haven’t listened to this awesome band yet – or seen them live – then what are you waiting for?!
