The Tips will be coming to the UK for their first shows over here – ahead of the two dates, we caught up with the band to find out more about what fans can expect from the shows!

You’re about to come to the UK for your first shows over here. What can fans expect from the shows?
Ali: We`re pretty excited to come to the UK for the first time. We always try to put our whole energy in to the set but we also try to have lots of fun with the people who come to our shows.
Faf: You will have the perfect mixture of styles. You can dance to the ska and reggae beats but we also deliver punk and rock to satisfy your will to go crazy.

What are you most looking forward to about playing in the UK?
Ali: It’s a dream coming true, you know. When we started, we always said that we got to come over. Now we can’t wait to go there!
Faf: It’s a totally new experience. I went to a show in Nottingham a couple of years ago and the crowd was awesome. They really felt the music. Oh and also I’m really looking forward to the British breakfast.

One of the shows is a festival show and the other is a more ‘standard’ club show. How will the two performances differ?
Ali: Well, there’s always a difference if you play a club or a festival. You’re closer to the people in a pub but you play in front of more people on a festival. Both shows will be great i guess…Madness started in the club where we play and the people wear fake beads on the festival. It sounds like lots of fun.
Faf: The performance will not differ. We’re always giving 110% at our shows. Maybe the club show will be a bit more sweaty but that’s great anyway.

What do you like most about touring?
Ali: I really like to play shows and its always nice to meet interesting people. We also like to party a little…this is a big part of touring.
Faf: Spending time with your friends is always great especially when you can see new places and earn new friends together by playing the music you love.

Is there anything about touring you don’t like?
Ali: Yes! I don’t like the long rides on the bus. After some time your ass will hurt real bad!
Faf: Getting up early and sitting in the van for hours can be annoying but if you arrive at a cool place with cool people it was more than worth it.

And if you could tour with any band, who would it be and why?
Ali: I’d really like to tour with slightly stoopid. They are huge in the US and we would love to go there too. Also I like their music!
Faf: We had some dates with the wonderful Skints. Very nice people that play awesome music. It would be nice to go on tour with these guys again.
