Pulled Apart By Horses – The Black Heart, Camden 10/05/14

Tuesday saw Pulled Apart By Horses play the sweat box that is The Black Heart in Camden to a mere 100, or thereabouts. The crowd were frantic from the get go and it was the kind of buzz you’d expect from Pulled Apart By Horses; a band whose live show is always a thrilling experience. It was the kind of show that throws out good vibes all round and one where everyone is here to have fun.

The band and crowd bounce off each other throughout the night and we’re treated to some new songs off upcoming album Blood, released this September, in which guitarist James asked the crowd to rate them from one to ten. Most shout nine or ten and one joker adds three. But it’s all in good fun.

In standard fashion James pours wine down the throats of fans and we’re also treated to a cover of ‘I Wanna Be Your Dog’ by The Stooges.

The show ended with mighty hit High Five, Swan Dive, Nose Dive where bodies flew, guitars were licked, drinks were spilt and fans sweated every ounce of fluid they had left in them.

Intimate is what Pulled Apart By Horses do best and tonight they gave the fans exactly what they wanted.
