A Séance Of Dark Delusions is the brand new album from Nordic Giants and it’s an adventurous and ambient piece chock-full of atmospheric and almost-ethereal songs – this is a piece you won’t want to miss.
There’s this all-round great feeling to A Séance Of Dark Delusions; you’re almost given the feeling of floating from song-to-song as the album progresses. What’s nice is that each track is distinct and unique in their own right, yet the album also plays like one continuous song with the songs spilling into one another and it’s just an absolute pleasure to listen to.
A Séance Of Dark Delusions features some really strong songs and a particular highlight is the stunning Evolve Or Perish. An instrumental number, it’s divided up extremely well with spoken-word sections amidst the ambience and gentle instrumentation and it really helps to make the song stick in your mind. However it’s not just the instrumental tracks that will leave an impression on you, as another great inclusion is the song Give Flight To The Imagination. The female vocals are soft and airy, and add an element of mystery and intrigue to the stripped-back song.
Nordic Giants really mean business with this album and when they become the next big name in the post-rock scene, don’t say we didn’t warn you!
