If you love indie music you are going to fall in love with Kymberley Kennedy. Starting her journey in 2011 as a solo artist from Leeds, England, she has released her new debut album called ‘The Blackout.’ The EP is featured as part of the soundtrack for a movie called ‘Syrup,’ directed by Aram Rappaport and starring Shiloh Fernandez, Amber Heard and Kellan Lutz. ‘The Blackout’ will be the lead track from Kymberley’s forthcoming release.

It’s easy seeing why this was featured as part of the soundtrack for the movie ‘Syrup.’ This EP covers numerous amounts of urban sounding genres that makes you feel like you’re going into another world. Which includes a fuse of funky pop, drums & bass, while also having electronic, and acoustic sounds.

You can learn the words to Kymberley Kennedy’s song ‘The Blackout’ in her lyric music video by clicking here. You can purchase the incredible EP on iTunes by clicking here.

‘The Blackout’ EP – includes an acoustic versions of High Voltage Remix and No Control Remix. To celebrate the release of the EP a free download of the Nostromo Remix of ‘Blackout’ is also available from SoundCloud which you can check out by clicking here.

All in all, the EP ‘The Blackout’, has got to be one of the most urban, funk, pop, fused songs I have yet to come across. I’m curious to see what else Kyberley Kennedy would come up with in the future.
