We here at Soundscape Magazine are always on the look out for new talent. We love especially to help out students looking to boost their portfolio’s and gain experience seen as that was how most of us started. All roles are unpaid, but will allow you access to gigs and the chance to interview bands as all our staff have the opportunity to produce content of this nature for the site. News Reporter
Your job would be to schedule news posts to the site on a semi-regular basis. These can be scheduled, so they can be written up the night before and scheduled to go live at certain times of the day. The news can be on any of the topics the magazine covers – anything from music, alternative fashion to sports and events. You will be sent news via email of press releases to change into a news piece for the site. This role will also give you the chance to boost your portfolio and is perfect for anyone looking for experience and the chance to network. No previous experience is required for this position. This is a 3 month trial role, where you will be evaluated at the end and may be offered the chance to stay on longer. To be considered for this role please send a news story you have written from something current you have researched yourself. The story should be a minimum of 50 words and no more than 400 words. Include any pictures you feel are relevant.

Features Writer
Your role would be to write exciting and engaging features and content for the website on the topics we cover (music, alternative fashion, sports and lifestyle). You will be required to research the topics for yourself, as well as writing based on suggestions from the editor. This role will also give you the chance to boost your portfolio and is perfect for anyone looking for experience and the chance to network. No previous experience is required for this position. This is a 3 month trial role, where you will be evaluated at the end and may be offered the chance to stay on longer. To be considered for this role please send an example of your work. The story should be no longer than 1000 words. Include any pictures you feel are relevant. You may be asked to fulfil a task if you are successful.

Reviews Writer
Your role would be to write exciting and engaging and honest reviews of albums and events for the website. Whilst you will be sent new releases we receive to review, you will be required to hunt some down yourself. This role will also give you the chance to boost your portfolio and is perfect for anyone looking for experience and the chance to network. No previous experience is required for this position. This is a 3 month trial role, where you will be evaluated at the end and may be offered the chance to stay on longer. To be considered for this role please send an example of your work. The review should be a minimum of 200 words but no longer than 500 words. Include any pictures you feel are relevant. You may be asked to fulfil a task if you are successful.

Photographer
Your role would be to photograph live events on our behalf and submit images along with short reviews. Whilst we will source events for you to review, you will be required to hunt some down yourself. This role will also give you the chance to boost your portfolio and is perfect for anyone looking for experience and the chance to network. No previous experience is required for this position. This is a 3 month trial role, where you will be evaluated at the end and may be offered the chance to stay on longer. To be considered for this role please send an example of your work and any photography from the event that you feel is relevant. The review should be a minimum of 200 words and if you have not photographed an event before, please send a review of a gig you have attend and supply a set of images you have taken of something else. You may be asked to fulfil a task if you are successful. We are currently looking for photographers outside of South Wales.
