The second track to be released from the upcoming Enter Shikari vs. Hospital Records remix album project The Mindsweep: Hospitalised has just been unveiled, and is a version of Mindsweep album track There’s A Price On Your Head given the remix treatment by drum & bass legend Danny Byrd. You can hear the track below, accompanied by a video shot in St Petersburg, Russia earlier this year.
As vocalist Rou Reynolds explains:
“We presented Danny with this absolutely raucous track with ridiculous time signatures, all of which were outside of his comfort zone and he turned it into a summery tune! You’d never think this song could be anything but furious but what he’s done is awesome.”
The Mindsweep: Hospitalised is released October 30th on Ambush Reality/Play It Again Sam and available on CD, 2 x orange vinyl and digital formats. Pre-order bundles and more details are available from here.
Original album The Mindsweep was honoured last week with an award at the 2015 AIM Independent Music Awards where the band brought home the award for Independent Album Of The Year (an award they also picked up from AIM in 2012 for the A Flash Flood Of Colour album). This follows the award for ‘Best Single’ the band picked up for Anaesthetist earlier in the summer at the Kerrang Awards.
The band have also this week re-released vinyl versions of back-cat albums Take To The Skies (now as a clear vinyl 2xLP set) and A Flash Flood Of Colour (red & yellow splatter vinyl and in a new sleeve from previous pressings). Enter Shikari have just completed a hectic Summer schedule of festival activity, taking in a vast majority of mainland Europe and headlining stages at the UK’s Glastonbury, Download and NASS festivals. The band has announced a UK arena tour for February 2016, where they will be joined by special guests The Wonder Years. Full dates below.
