Colt 45 – Coughing Up Confessions Review

I first saw Cumbrian based 3 piece Colt 45 play a storming gig in Pontypridd, and have been a fan ever since. They have recently signed with Visible Noise and this is their first release through them.

Coughing up Confessions combines remastered versions of the bands 2 previous EP’s on one great CD.

The song’s are punchy, riffy and melodic, a great combination, stand out tracks are Happiness Is A Dying Art, which has a massive, memorable chorus, the slower paced I’m Drowning Not Waving, and my current favourite Chasing Yesterday, which contains another winning chorus.

The tracks were produced by Romesh Dodangoda and sound great, These Unspoken Arguments combining both power, aggression and melody.

This is a cracking release by a band who are definitely destined for great things, check them out.
