Casino Thieves – The Quiet Road Home Review

1514610_396216003855926_1644964311_nThis is the South Wales Valley’s based Casino Thieves first release as a three piece, and it’s definitely a hard hitting affair.

Riff heavy and distortion filled but with accessibility and melody, its a great combination. First track Halogen Eyes pumps along nicely and has already had airplay on BBC introducing.

License To Kill raises the bar a little, both in aggression and melody, the riffs just keep coming.

The songs here are great, catchy, hard hitting and really well put together, they make an awful lot of noise for a three piece, Exit And Entrances is a an absolute belter and a perfect example of what the band can do.

The sound of the EP is spot on, recorded at Stompbox with Todd Campbell and the band, consisting of Jeremy Dessent – vocals/guitar, Adam Kerslake – drums and Leon Jones – bass, are on top form.

The final track here Beautiful Lenses, slows things down a little, lyrically clever but it does seem to end rather abruptly.

The EP is available online from iTunes and Amazon and I do suggest you check it out, Casino Thieves are definitely ones to watch.

8/10
