Soundscape’s A-Z Of Bands: Machinae Supremacy

This week, our featured band is Machinae Supremacy, a unique band whose music extensively features the use of a SidStation, which is a musical synthesizer sound module that features the SID chip of the Commodore 64.

Although the band don’t use the SidStation in a live environment, it is still played in over the top of the music when they play a live show, and their live show needs to be seen to be believed. Not a band to do things by halves, they released a HD-quality video of their show at Assembly 2011 for completely free via The Pirate Bay and it can be viewed below!

In addition, the band are very big on getting their music out there and their website contains a vast amount of songs for free download, including their infamous soundtrack to the Jets N Guns video game which is still being highly praised in reviews and online communities even today! It can be downloaded from here.

Machinae Supremacy are currently working on a world tour for 2014 with a pledge-based approach where fans can contribute money in order to help the band get on the road and play as many shows as possible in as many countries – and for a band that has contributed so much to their fans, it only seems fair to give them something back!
