Zombie Virus is the latest offering from industrial rock/metal outfit Alexanred and it’s another strong release guaranteed to be stuck in your head for long after you’ve listened to it.
Admittedly, it is more of a grower – on my first listen of it I wasn’t blown away, nor was I instantly grabbed by the track. However, the more I listened to it, the more immersive the track became, so it’s definitely worth giving this song a chance to grow on you because it truly is a brilliant piece of work.
The synths in particular are definitely worth a closer look, especially in the chorus when you’re presented with an earworm of a melody in tandem with the powerfully-delivered vocals and it subsequently sticks in your mind after you’re done listening.
As a whole, Zombie Virus is a great track that certainly whets the listener’s appetite for further material from Alexanred – hopefully it won’t be too long of a wait before album number two!
